Another Year Older

Today I celebrated my 24th birthday.  It was a great day, and it has been a great day with of course a few ups and downs, and bumps in the road.   With that said, at the end of each day, I feel like I am such a blessed person.

*I have great loving, supportive & healthy parents that are always there for me.  *A sister that I love more than she may know, and loves me back no matter what happens.  *A boyfriend who puts up with my rants, raves, and imperfections, and that loves me for who I am unconditionally.  *Bobby's Parents who are supportive, thoughtful and generous.  *Leslie who is always kind, an ear that listens and always up for a little girl time that might include a cup of coffee and shopping.  *Six beautiful nieces, that just plain and simply brighten my day. *Good friends & family that are always there, and that I can connect with even when we haven't talked in a while.  *A safe, warm house. *I finished my bachelors degree, and started a master's program this year, I am so thankful to be able to go to school, and achieve my goals. *A job where I feel needed and utilized, and where I can help someone.  *And so much more!

I really had a great day/evening.  I worked today, co-workers sang to me, and wished me happy birthday the entire day, as did residents.  Bobby brought me a wonderful cup of Dunkin' coffee, along with 2 Excedrin for my headache.

After work, I got a free car wash and made my way to Yen King for dinner with my parents, Bobby & his folks, Jade & Leslie and their crew.  Of course, dinner was a whirl wind but it was great.  I was showered with love, food and thoughtful gifts.

Here's some pictures of my birthday evening....

(Notice Reyna in the background...)

I love this one of Reyna Bug.

This is one of two knitting books I received from Bobby. I would like to learn more about knitting. :)

My parents gave me some really nice tops for work.

and a bead for my Pandora....  its my birthstone.

Our yummy food.

Rocky and Lisa got me some French Vanilla KCups, which I cannot wait to try!

And a must have...

Reyna enjoyed throwing the paper.... so of course, Aunt Em let her :)

Bobby got me some beautiful roses....
That about sums the evening up.  Its was a great way to spend my 24th birthday!

Thank you!!!

Happy Birthday Boyfriend...

Monday was Bobby actual birthday, but we celebrated his birthday on Sunday when everyone could be together.

He was able to spend the afternoon with his parents, The Collin's family, and my parents to celebrate turning 24!

We had a great cookout... BBQ ribs, grilled chicken, corn on the cob, fruit salad.... and I made the deserts!

Who could ask for a better birthday meal?

Here's what I made... both the deserts turned out great... and they were easy to put together. Peanut butter fudge cheesecake, and poundcake w/ fruit.   I will post the recipies soon.
It was a great day, check out Leslie's blog for more pictures!

A special thanks to Gramps and Gran Sal for my birthday gift!!!

I love the Vera Bradley.... its perfect!

I will use it and think of you!

*23*

Last week I celebrated my 23rd birthday. The actual date of my birthday is January 19, but I celebrated the weekend prior since the 19th fell on a tuesday this year.

Saturday I celebrated with Bobby, his parents and Leslie's family. We had a little Mexican fiesta! It was great... we had Margarita's, guacamole, and homemade enchilada's.  It is one of my favorites. I had never eaten real Mexican food aside from the traditional American tacos until I started dating Bobby. It is such a treat.   It was so much fun.

Reyna helped me open presents of course, and I think she was a little disapointed, since I had asked for a few clothing items! haha. But she enjoyed ripping of the paper.

The next day I got to celebrate my birthday with my parents. That was great, I stayed home the ENTIRE day and did not go anywhere. It was wonderful. For dinner, my mom made me another one of my favorites, Swedish meatballs & mashed potatoes. (yum!) We hung out, Bobby bought me a bottle of wine, so we all had a glass of wine, and relaxed.

I was so excited when I opened my gifts... my parents got me my first Coach purse... some fabulous red wine glass for my first apartment,  and some new pj's!

My sister also got me season five of one of my favorite shows...

And even the ladies I work with at the hospital for my internship helped me to celebrate with homemade chocolate cake, coffee and a balloon!

I am so lucky and thankful for all of my family and friends that love me! I had a great 23rd birthday.
