This was one year ago...

Another Year Older

Today I celebrated my 24th birthday.  It was a great day, and it has been a great day with of course a few ups and downs, and bumps in the road.   With that said, at the end of each day, I feel like I am such a blessed person.

*I have great loving, supportive & healthy parents that are always there for me.  *A sister that I love more than she may know, and loves me back no matter what happens.  *A boyfriend who puts up with my rants, raves, and imperfections, and that loves me for who I am unconditionally.  *Bobby's Parents who are supportive, thoughtful and generous.  *Leslie who is always kind, an ear that listens and always up for a little girl time that might include a cup of coffee and shopping.  *Six beautiful nieces, that just plain and simply brighten my day. *Good friends & family that are always there, and that I can connect with even when we haven't talked in a while.  *A safe, warm house. *I finished my bachelors degree, and started a master's program this year, I am so thankful to be able to go to school, and achieve my goals. *A job where I feel needed and utilized, and where I can help someone.  *And so much more!

I really had a great day/evening.  I worked today, co-workers sang to me, and wished me happy birthday the entire day, as did residents.  Bobby brought me a wonderful cup of Dunkin' coffee, along with 2 Excedrin for my headache.  

After work, I got a free car wash and made my way to Yen King for dinner with my parents, Bobby & his folks, Jade & Leslie and their crew.  Of course, dinner was a whirl wind but it was great.  I was showered with love, food and thoughtful gifts.

That about sums the evening up.  Its was a great way to spend my 24th birthday!

Merry Christmas!


This year Christmas was wonderful.  It was stress free and very relaxing.  I had all my shopping done, no family issues to speak of, and I was able to spend my time with family.  How much better can life get?

Remember how my camera was taking blurry pictures?  Well now the darn thing won't even turn on.  So guess what I got for Christmas??

Bobby got me a brand new camera!!

And its so much fancier than the Sony I had before.  Its been fun playing around with it.

A Day of Festivities

On Friday my sister and I headed out to hit the stores for Black Friday shopping... we left at 3:45, got to Target at 4am, and left the store about 6am.  I did get some great Christmas surprises.  Then we headed over to a couple other stores where I got a "Perfect Pillow" for an early present from Tarra! 

When we got back to the house, we started decorating for Christmas...

Late on Friday night my parents renewed their wedding vows. They have been married for 25 years! It was pretty special to see. 

Afterwards we went out to dinner.

It was a pretty good day!

Happy Birthday Boyfriend...

Monday was Bobby actual birthday, but we celebrated his birthday on Sunday when everyone could be together.

He was able to spend the afternoon with his parents, The Collin's family, and my parents to celebrate turning 24! 

We had a great cookout... BBQ ribs, grilled chicken, corn on the cob, fruit salad.... and I made the deserts!

Who could ask for a better birthday meal?

Here's what I made... both the deserts turned out great... and they were easy to put together. Peanut butter fudge cheesecake, and poundcake w/ fruit.   I will post the recipies soon.

Julie's Wedding

A couple weekends ago, Julie got married to a very nice man named Bob. I wasn't able to attend the actual ceremony ( it was the same weekend as my MSU class in Flint) but I was able to go to the reception at their beautiful home. My cousins, Dan, Coleen and Kevin were there and it was so nice to catch up with them.  My mom and dad were also able to make it, which was nice because I hadn't seen them in a couple of weeks.

It was so nice to go and see Julie's new home, and to spend such a special day with her. My parents and  I were so happy that she included us.  It was a great day!
